This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the City of St. Albert (the “City”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Villeneuve Road Phase 2 Design & Construction Management Services, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”).

The City of St. Albert is requesting proposals from qualified, licensed, and professional consulting firms to provide design engineering and construction management services required for the urbanization of Villeneuve Road, from approximately 385m west of Hogan Road to west of Dennison Drive/Jensen Gate.

This project targets the upgrading of Villeneuve Road to an urbanized cross-section (following principles of Complete Streets and extending upon improvements constructed within Phase 1 of the corridor). Improvements to Villeneuve Road will include but not be limited to, accommodation for active modes, urbanization of the roadway cross-section with applicable storm management systems and necessary utilities (including streetlighting), and associated intersection widenings or redesigns with further accommodation for identified new accesses into adjacent communities. The scope of work will include completion of detailed (to IFT/IFC) design and construction management services of all corridor improvements; inclusive of a single lane roundabout at the Hogan Road intersection with improvements extending south to the intersection of North Ridge Drive.
