This Invitation to Tender (the “ITT”) is an invitation by the City of St. Albert (the “City”) to prospective bidders to submit bids for Decommission and Demolition of #13 Mission Avenue (NABI Building)   , as further described in Section A of the ITT Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). 

Contractor to provide construction services for the decommissioning and demolition of the building located at #13 Mission Avenue. The decommissioning will require full removal and disposal of the building from the site and capping/disconnection of utility services for potential future use.  Removal does include all building materials/items within the building at time of award and abatement/disposal of existing hazardous materials (asbestos) per regulatory standards.

Asbestos report can be found in Appendix E Additional Information.

This tender as well includes provisional items related to the demolition of #15 Mission Avenue “Ecole Father Jan”.  The City is currently partnering with the Greater St. Albert Catholic School Board to abate, decommission and demolish both properties at the same time. These items are dependent on approved funding by the school board. If funding is not available or agreement between school board and the City is not in place, this item may be removed. 

Additional provisional item includes the contractor excavation locations within both properties for indigenous monitors to review soil structures, strata and contents to help determine land usage and potential historical connections.
