This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the City of St. Albert (the “City”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Playground Lifecycle Replacement (Hodgson Park Playground) as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”).

The City of St. Albert is an urban municipality of approximately 72,316 residents located immediately adjacent to the northwest border of the City of Edmonton. St. Albert is primarily a residential community with a mixture of both old and newer areas, as well as two light industrial parks, commercial areas and numerous recreational parks.

This project includes but is not limited to the removal and replacement of an existing playground structure and sand surface within an existing dedicated park space located at:

 46 Heritage Drive, St. Albert AB 

Overall, the Work includes but is not limited to:

• Removal of existing playground equipment and structural components
• Removal of existing sand surfacing
• Removal of existing site furniture 
• Review existing drainage infrastructure
• Design and placement of new playground equipment to CSA standards
• Placement of new site furniture
• Repair/Rehabilitation of adjacent asphalt trail and landscaping 
• Maintenance/Warranty Period.
